Project summary

The small town of Kfarselwan, located at 1,400 m above sea level at the foot of Jabal el Knaissé. Its municipality wanted to develop, a participatory land use project to meet the growing demand for development. The preliminary assessment that we undertook tended to highlight the exceptional landscape qualities of the site and their relationship to the rural economy and to the cultural heritage. By showing them to the inhabitants, with expressive block diagrams and didactic cartography, the aim of the study was to make the residents aware of the importance of sparing land and resources and preserving the landscape assets and therefore the potential for a touristic economy that would benefit to all the community.
